Great and small external HD | Rating:
| Date: 2008-08-18This Western Digital external HD is very small in size and smooth in shape. Since nowadays all external HDs are pretty much plug-and-play (USB 2.0), this HD is the same (nothing to mention about ease of setup). It does not require external power, and that's convenient. I think the reading/writing speed is about average, and it does not have any overheating during file transferring.
One drawback is the shiny surface is made of some low-quality plastic, it's not that elegant. It can look dull and wavy at some angle.
I recommend this to friend who looks for a small portable HD in the 200-300GB range. -

| Date: 2008-08-18I gave this product 5 stars because it's fully useful for my intended purpose. I wanted extra storage and that is what I got. I don't use the software that comes with it because I don't need to backup anything, I can do it by myself.
