Introducting Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint Technology

For the ultimate in wireless freedom, look no further than the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset, which represents a generational leap in Bluetooth headset technology. The 510 is comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. These are great features, but the real revolution involves Plantronics' exclusive "Multipoint" technology, which allows the headset to function as a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices.

With Multipoint technology you can switch between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The headset's "smart" technology knows which device you are using and allows you to take calls from any device at the touch of a button. With the optional Plantronics Bluetooth Deskphone Adapter you can even switch between your office phone and your Bluetooth mobile phone. You'll never need to use a dedicated "landline" phone headset again.

The 510 features a noise-canceling microphone for clearer conversations, and it folds for easy storage. The boom also swivels for perfect positioning on either ear. One-touch call control buttons are placed for easy access, and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the headset. Because the 510 is Bluetooth-enabled (it supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification) you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from wi-fi networks. Ample talk time is provided by the built-in rechargeable battery; you'll get up to 6 hours talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.

  • Great for the price! | Rating: Star Star Star Blank_star Blank_star | Date: 2008-08-29

I bought the 510 hoping to use it riding my motorcycle. No luck! However, for the price it works great as a simple head set in the car. I use a PDA and the 510 is so much nicer than having a square phone pressed against my head. I also have the Plantronic ear pc at work. It took two weeks to get use to the ear bud. It can become itchy.Im numb to it. Otherwise,I would have hated the 510. Over all, I am happy, but disappointed. I hoped to use this product riding.

  • Hmmm | Rating: Star Star Star Blank_star Blank_star | Date: 2008-08-28

It seems like a good product other then the short distance away from the phone untill it starts fading signal. Cheaper models of blue tooth devises I found have better range then that. Otherwise it seems to be a good product, i suppose

  • My second one, still the best | Rating: Star Star Star Star Star | Date: 2008-08-28

I purchased a Voyager 510 a couple of years ago and paid $99.99 for it (Before I found Amazon). and I just loved it. Then being stupid I read all the hype about the Jawbone and when I broke my Voyager, I decided to get the Jawbone. What a HUGE mistake!.. The Jawbone is junk. My second Voyager is just as wonderful as the first, I've already walked around in the wind, while talking to my wife, and she could hear me perfectly and couldn't hear the wind. It's the best product on the market. And of course Amazon got it hear so quick I didn't even have time to track my package!... Thanks Amazon for selling such a great product.

  • Great headset | Rating: Star Star Star Star Blank_star | Date: 2008-08-28

While its size and bulk may dissuade some people, this headset weighs very little and is very comfortable. The volume at which I can hear conversations surprised me--I don't have it at full volume and I can still hear over the noise of freeway traffic, something I have until recently not expected of a headset. It was remarkably easy to link with my Motorola phone and I have not noticed significant battery drain (still running on its first charge!). The only thing keeping this headset from getting 5 stars is the fact that--like all headsets I've tried--it starts to make my ear hurt about two hours after beginning to wear it, even though it's remarkably comfortable for the first hour or so.

  • Great ear piece | Rating: Star Star Star Star Blank_star | Date: 2008-08-28

People can finally hear everything I say when I'm driving in my car and talking "hands free" with a more than adequate bluetooth. Also, great price.
