| Date: 2008-08-29I do not like using the touch pad on my laptop so I did a lot of online research for an external mouse. Since I have had nothing but good experiences with Logitech before and this mouse had the features I want I choose to order it. I am not in the least bit disappointed. All the features plus some in a small portable mouse that is also easy to carry in my laptop case when I am out in the field. Highly recommended.

This mouse is absolutely fantastic, a HUGE upgrade from the 400x. I will summarize:
1. The scroll wheel can be "unhinged" to free wheel through huge documents, a subtle but awesome feature.
2. The receiver is obviously unnoticeable.
3. Feels great compared with any other mouse I have used.
4. Software tells you how many days left on the battery.
5. Side buttons can be used for volume control, very handy.
6. Entire unit packs into itself in a very slick manner.
You will not regret this purchase especially at this price.
| Date: 2008-08-24It's a pretty cool mouse, BUT it is not worth the retail price. What I paid is just right. The forward and backward buttons are great and I can just leave the sensor plugged in without it being in the way while I move about with my notebook. I'd definitely recommend it.

Positives: Just leave the small USB stick in place and no problems. Wireless connection works very well. Mouse is good size for me and the small areas I often must work within. Great feature is the ability to program an action with a button on the Mouse. I have it set for desktop - get quick access to it.
Deltas: The scroller seems loose and often spins through a document if I am not attentive. This is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
Overall: I am pleased with it it. If you are considering this moose - I suggest evaluating the newer Logitech Mouse - Revolution?

Wow! What a great mouse.
If you've used a wireless mouse with a notebook, the problems are (1) the receiver gets broken or lost and (2) the battery dies.
Logitech has fixed both problems. The receiver is very small and doesn't need to be removed from the USB port. Plug it in and forget it.
And, to help with battery life, it has a nice "power off switch" located on the bottom of the mouse.
It is easy to use. It connects to the receiver immediately. Accuracy is great. We love it.
